I'm a poser and a gold digger.
I’m Sabina Cavalli, and my portrait studio, CASA CAVALLI, is named after the Brazilian and European influences that shaped my life. It’s meant to be a sanctuary for those who value the power of personal expression. I chose to call it “Casa”, as in “House of”, to symbolize all the traditions and cultures that I bring to the table.
I was born in Brazil, of Italian descent, and I’ve always felt enriched by the merging of cultures, experiences and traditions to which I was exposed growing up. After living in the United States for over 20 years, and adopting this country as my own, I’ve embraced the balance between these worlds, assuming a visual style that feels personal and true to myself. My artistic influences spam all three continents and have shaped my creative vision, giving me a unique perspective on beauty, elegance, and the celebration of identity.
As a mother of two young adults, I understand the delicate dance between personal ambition and the beautiful chaos of raising a family. I’ve experienced the bittersweet transition of children leaving the nest and its consequent reverberation on time, identity, and purpose.
This personal journey allowed me to step back, reassess, and rediscover my true calling — to create deeply meaningful, intentional work for those who seek to celebrate
themselves and their loved ones.
My portraiture is about co-creating meaningful images with the brave souls of all ages and genders who dare to reveal themselves.
As an aging woman, I understand the concerns many have before stepping in front of the camera —the fear of vulnerability, the uncertainty of how to present yourself. That’s why I created Casa Cavalli: to help people overcome these hesitations and experience the joy of being truly seen.
My approach is highly intentional. I work closely with my clients to create an experience that feels both luxurious and personal. I employ several tools to guide the discovery process, from color theory to understanding my client’s archetypes and personality type and guiding them through wardrobe choices. During the portrait session, I skillfully guide my clients through body language and the various meanings of poses and assist them in using imagination to elicit genuine expressions and I expertly use lighting to enhance or disguise bodily features. All of that to ensure that each session is as enjoyable as it is empowering.
I offer a personalized experience designed for the discerning individual who values not just the final image, but the transformative journey of self-expression.
In other words, I dig the gold within my clients and proudly reveal it in my images.
